Accessibility

• Every form control has an accessible name, so a screen reader announces what a field is for rather than reading an unlabelled box.
• A skip link is the first focusable element on every page. Each page puts a fourteen-tab navigation ahead of its content, which is otherwise a lot to walk through on every navigation.
• Status messages — stale data, errors — are announced to assistive technology rather than being visual-only.
• Colour, type and contrast come from one design-token set chosen to meet AA contrast, and colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
• The interface works at browser zoom and does not depend on hover to reach anything.

• Dense data tables on small screens. Several dashboards show wide tables that scroll horizontally. They are readable, but the experience on a narrow screen is worse than on a desktop, and we are working through them.
• Maps and charts. The map and some visualisations are visual by nature. Where one carries information you cannot get any other way, that is a defect we want to hear about — the underlying figures exist as text and should be reachable.
• Automated and assistive-technology testing. We have fixed issues as we found them but do not yet run an accessibility check on every change, and we have not completed a full screen-reader pass. Both are planned.

If a report or figure is unreachable for you, we will send it in a format that works — email, plain text, or a call where one of us reads it out. Nobody should have to buy twice because the interface got in the way.
